Q:  The _KeyboardAlternatives section of the NeXT User Interface Guidelines states that when necessary, a keyboard alternative requiring the Alternate key can be used (for example, if my application needs more command key equivalents than normally available).  The alternative should also appear italicized.  How in the world do you make this work?\

  11. A: Support for this feature didn't make it into the 2.0 AppKit.  Attempting to implement this functionality without kit support will be very difficult and will definitely break in future releases (such as the impending release supporting European languages).\
